Triangle Youth String Orchestra

The Triangle Youth String Orchestras will provide engaging musical experiences for students who have an interest in performing in a string ensemble or wish to gain the experience necessary to perform in one of our full orchestras. They are open to musicians in the 4th through 12th grades with prior experience such as private lessons or school orchestra. Although no entrance audition is required, the ability to read music is necessary. Students interested in playing as section leaders or in the First Violins are invited to audition after the Open Houses on September 6 and 8. TYSO-West will meet on Tuesdays in Cary from 6:15 to 8:00 pm. TYSO-East will meet in Raleigh on Thursday evenings from 6:15 - 8:00 pm. The two orchestras will combine for two performances a year.
